About this class
Take your business to the next level with the TREC Broker Responsibility Course—a required 6-hour CE class for brokers and anyone who sponsors agents, but honestly, it’s valuable for every real estate professional.
This course breaks down what really happens behind the scenes of a well-run brokerage—covering topics like supervision, compliance, risk management, and how to avoid the mistakes that can cost you deals (or your license). Even if you’re not a broker (yet), understanding how broker responsibilities work will make you a stronger, smarter agent.
Taught by Angie Rhea, Broker, and Terroni Espinoza, Associate Broker of StepStone Realty, this class is practical, real-world, and easy to follow. You’ll walk away with insights you can actually use—whether you're leading a team, thinking about growing into a broker role, or just want to operate at a higher level in your business.
Your instructor: Angie Rhea
Angie Rhea is the Broker and Co-Owner of StepStone Realty, a specialized real estate brokerage dedicated to sponsoring agents who are also active real estate investors. Licensed since 2006, Angie launched her career at the height of the subprime mortgage crisis—a turbulent market that quickly shaped her into a leading expert in distressed-property solutions. She has listed and processed hundreds of short sales and continues to be a trusted resource for navigating complex distressed transactions.
In addition to her deep experience in creative real estate, Angie is equally skilled in traditional retail transactions. As an investor, she has successfully executed a wide range of strategies, including flipping, wholesaling, acquiring rental properties, and structuring owner-financed deals.
Today, Angie’s greatest passion is mentoring and empowering the hundreds of StepStone agents she supervises each day. Known for her hands-on leadership, industry expertise, and unwavering support of her agents’ growth, she plays a central role in shaping the success of StepStone’s uniquely investment-focused agent community.
